Customer Success
Customer Success Manager (FinOps)
Own customer relationships after onboarding and turn cost data into clear, practical recommendations.
About Cloud Numericals
Cloud Numericals helps engineering and finance teams cut their cloud bills by up to 30%, at zero cost, across AWS, Azure, and GCP. We operate an enterprise-grade financial platform that manages a large portfolio of cloud commitments, unlocking savings most teams can't access alone. Customers keep 100% of the savings, with no architecture changes. We're a small, remote team, so everyone's work shows up directly in what customers save.
About the role
As a Customer Success Manager, you'll own our relationships with customers after they sign. You'll make onboarding smooth, review their cloud spend regularly, and make sure every customer understands, and sees, the savings we deliver.
This role combines FinOps expertise with relationship management. You'll work with engineers and finance teams alike, turning cost and usage data into clear recommendations, and you'll be the customer's voice inside Cloud Numericals.
What you’ll do
Onboarding
- Lead onboarding for new customers, including connecting read-only billing data from AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Set clear expectations on timelines, savings, and reporting from the first call.
Ongoing value
- Run regular spend reviews with customers, explaining what changed, why, and what it means for them.
- Turn usage and cost analysis into practical recommendations that engineering teams can act on.
- Track and report the savings each customer achieves, and make that value visible to their leadership.
- Spot risks early, such as usage changes or unhappy stakeholders, and act before they become problems.
Relationships and feedback
- Build trusted relationships with engineering, FinOps, and finance stakeholders at each account.
- Share customer feedback and feature requests with product and engineering.
- Help build the playbooks, reports, and processes that let the team scale.
What success looks like in your first 90 days
- 30 days: You know our platform and processes, and you've been introduced to your book of customers.
- 60 days: You're leading onboarding and spend reviews independently.
- 90 days: Your customers have clear savings reporting, and you've contributed an improvement to our success playbook.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years in customer success, account management, technical account management, or FinOps.
- Working knowledge of how AWS, Azure, or GCP services are billed.
- Confident analyzing cost and usage data in spreadsheets or BI tools.
- Able to explain technical topics to both engineers and finance teams.
- Organized and comfortable managing several accounts at once.
- Clear, confident written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- FinOps Certified Practitioner, or an AWS, Azure, or GCP certification.
- Experience with AWS Cost Explorer, the Cost and Usage Report, Azure Cost Management, or GCP billing exports.
- Experience working with commitment-based discounts at scale.
- SQL skills.
What we offer
- Fully remote work, with flexible hours and a few hours of daily overlap for collaboration.
- Real ownership from day one. Your work directly shapes what customers save.
- A small, senior team that shares knowledge openly and gives regular, direct feedback.
- Support for relevant certifications, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and FinOps Foundation.
- Exposure to how cloud pricing, commitments, and FinOps work at enterprise scale.
- Room to grow as the company grows, with scope that expands as you're ready for it.
