About Cloud Numericals

Cloud Numericals helps engineering and finance teams cut their cloud bills by up to 30%, at zero cost, across AWS, Azure, and GCP. We operate an enterprise-grade financial platform that manages a large portfolio of cloud commitments, unlocking savings most teams can't access alone. Customers keep 100% of the savings, with no architecture changes. We're a small, remote team, so everyone's work shows up directly in what customers save.

About the role

As a Cloud Sales Specialist, you're the technical and commercial expert in every deal. You'll sit alongside our Account Executives, analyze each prospect's cloud spend, and turn it into a clear, credible savings case that engineering and finance leaders can trust.

This role suits someone who understands how cloud providers price their services and enjoys explaining it simply. You'll spend your time reading billing data, modeling commitment strategies, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

What you’ll do

Savings analysis

  • Analyze prospects' cost and usage data across AWS, Azure, and GCP to identify rate and usage savings opportunities.
  • Build savings estimates and proposals tailored to each prospect's workloads, commitment coverage, and risk appetite.
  • Model the impact of Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, committed use discounts, and other pricing structures.

Deal support

  • Partner with Account Executives on discovery, technical deep dives, and pricing conversations.
  • Present findings to CTOs, VPs of Engineering, FinOps leads, and CFOs, adapting the level of detail to each audience.
  • Answer technical, security, and commercial questions about how our model works, and handle objections with evidence.
  • Support the handover to Customer Success so every new customer starts with a clear savings plan.

Market expertise

  • Stay current with cloud pricing changes, new instance families, and new discount programmes across all three providers.
  • Create reusable sales materials, such as calculators, one-pagers, and example analyzes, for the wider team.
  • Share recurring customer questions and product gaps with the product and engineering teams.

What success looks like in your first 90 days

  • 30 days: You understand our platform, pricing model, and sales process, and you've shadowed discovery and proposal calls.
  • 60 days: You're independently building savings analyzes and presenting them alongside Account Executives.
  • 90 days: You're the go-to technical partner on active deals and have added at least one reusable asset to the sales toolkit.

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years in cloud sales, pre-sales, solutions engineering, or another customer-facing cloud role.
  • Solid understanding of core cloud services (compute, storage, databases, networking) and how they're billed.
  • Working knowledge of commitment-based pricing, such as Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, or committed use discounts.
  • Confident with spreadsheets and data. You can turn raw billing exports into a clear, accurate story.
  • Able to explain technical and financial topics to non-specialists without oversimplifying.
  • Clear, confident written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • AWS, Azure, or GCP certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or experience with cloud cost management tools.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments or selling to enterprise buyers.
  • Familiarity with the AWS Cost and Usage Report, Azure Cost Management, or GCP billing exports.

What we offer

  • Fully remote work, with flexible hours and a few hours of daily overlap for collaboration.
  • Real ownership from day one. Your work directly shapes what customers save.
  • A small, senior team that shares knowledge openly and gives regular, direct feedback.
  • Support for relevant certifications, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and FinOps Foundation.
  • Exposure to how cloud pricing, commitments, and FinOps work at enterprise scale.
  • Room to grow as the company grows, with scope that expands as you're ready for it.
